Blog Post: Week 3 Post 1

 http://www.roverp6cars.com/

This website is the most overwhelming on the list easily coming above the rest.  This particular site not only will overwhelm people but it is cluttered so the people that use it will have difficulties finding what they need.  The multiple different fonts, pictures, and different colors of text makes things just difficult for no reason.  The site was clearly not made by a professional or anyone with a background in design or computer usage.  A simple way to improve the site would be to change the layout, take away most of the pictures, and use a uniform font.  These things would make the site easier to navigate and more palatable for people who are used to looking at websites or people who are just more experienced with these types of things.

A website that suffers mainly from clutter issues would be this particular one.  The clutter is all on the front page and just is way to many words,  there is also clutter on the side of the with all the individual link bars being too close together.  Another thing that could be improved on would be the layout, it is not the worst but could definitely be improved to help customer usability.  The site also could benefit from larger pictures of the products to better inform the customers.  Changing these things would improve the customer experience, such as, fixing the color palette to be more subtle and easier to read the fonts as well as declutter by simplifying the layout and descriptions.  These would allow the customer to really see what the business is and not descriptions of every term on their page.

Toyota is a very professional site that displays everything in an organized and concise manner.  The layout is great and so is the menu placement and accessibility.  The fonts of the site are all readable and uniform making everything easy to comprehend.  This site feels very professionally done as it is an international company with a massive customer base that needs to be easily accessible to everyone.  My personal view based solely off of the websites would be that it is a professional and cares about accessibility.

Apple is one of the pioneers of the modern internet usage so of course they are going to have a website that is extremely accessible.  The website uses muted colors and prefers to exhibit these missing colors in the product photos to draw attention to them.  The layout feels very professionally done as it runs and looks very smooth as well as being organized in a way that even people unfamiliar with the internet could figure it out eventually.  Judging Apple on their website leads me to believe that they want the customer experience to be a futuristic and elegant one to make them want to come back.
